2021 Azalea Garden Tour Grants
Normally, the Cape Fear Garden Club’s Azalea Garden Tour held since 1953, awards grants to non-profit organizations in New Hanover County for beautification, conservation, and educational projects. Sadly, due to the Covid-19 virus, the 2021 Azalea Garden Tour was canceled causing a disruption in funding for local non-profit projects for this club year. Fortunately, standing grants like the one for the protection of Battery Island by the NC Audubon Society and endowed scholarships to the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and Cape Fear Community College will be honored. These grants were funded with the Garden Tour Reserve.
